ceremony and reception spaces at graydon hall manor
One of the reasons we love capturing weddings at this venue, is the expansive opportunities for ceremony and reception locations. This manor has no bad angle. In fact, every time we go, we fall in love with another hidden corner.
Here's a glimpse at some of our favourite spots around the property.
The balustrade terrace
This expansive 160-ft terrace on the back side of the manor is what most couples dream of for their outdoor wedding. Beautiful in all seasons, this space has the capability of hosting your reception during the warmer months. Worried about rain? Don't be! The entire span of the terrace is tented providing protection from the rain and hot sun.
This space is the best of both worlds. Hanging chandeliers, giant trees, expansive views of the sculpted gardens. Its a yes for us, and most couples in the warmer months.
top tip for those on the fence with the terrace as their dream space
It isn't up all year. If you are not a fan of the tented terrace, choose a cooler month for your wedding as they remove the tent come late fall and setup starting early summer.
coveted cocktails by the fountain
Que the music, and mix up a aperol spritz, we're ready to celebrate.
The iconic fountain located at the base of the terrace steps is most commonly used by couples during cocktail hour in the warmer months. Surrounded by picturesque gardens it truly is the best place to soak up the sunshine and enjoy passed hors d'oeuvres.
Imagine your guests laughing over cocktails, exploring the grounds, catching up at the bistro iron tables. It really is the perfect spot.
top tip for those considering this space
The venue is surrounded by towering apartment and condo buildings. All images facing this direction will see the city buildings hovering above the manor. Unless your photographer is a fan of photoshop, take a look in person to see if this a deal breaker for you. For us, it's all about knowing when to hide the towers to let the beauty of the manor shine.
The Aisle
While they are present in the manor background, it is a not a deal breaker for most couples. You are in the city after all.
A GARDEN VIEW
One of the most popular locations for couples to wed, is Graydon Hall Manor Toronto's beautiful tree lined garden. If you love the English or Italian countryside aesthetic this is the aisle for you. This is where the magic happens.
Picture this: You've put on the outfit of your dreams and you glance out the upper terrace to see your friends and family seated amongst the gardens. Your partner waiting for you at the alter. A violin plays in the background. Birds chirp. The fountain trickles. You slowly start your entrance down the grand staircase and lock eyes with your other half. This is it, the walk you've been dreaming of.
The best part: its a very very very long aisle. soak it all in.
